Virginia Popp
Sgt Virginia Popp served in the United States Air Force for 8 years from 2018 to 2026 as an Aerial Transportation specialist and supervisor (Port Dawg). She began her career at Little Rock Air Force Base earning an elite qualification as a parachute rigger. During her time in Little Rock she rigged over 10k airdrop loads critical for global operations. In 2021, she deployed to Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar where she personally moved 820k lbs of cargo during the Afghanistan withdrawal, one of the largest airlift missions in recent history.
In 2023, she was stationed at Osan Air Base, where she supervised passenger travel for all DoD branches and allied forces in and out of the Republic of Korea. Moving 45k personnel in one year. From 2024 to 2026, she served at the Royal Air Base Mildenhall in the United Kingdom. Here she oversaw hazardous and explosive cargo operations for the UK’s sole hub. Throughout her career she has received, 5 decorations, held 11 different duty titles and completed 15 temporary duty assignments worldwide; to include missions supporting the U.S. Marines deployment to Sweden, U.S. Navy special operations in Finland, and Presidential support for Air Force One.
