Jesse Loop '32
Jesse was a graduate of Crivitz High School in the class of 1932. After graduating, he served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945 in World War II. He was a part of the 101st Airborne and 321st F.A. Glider Battalion, and received a Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his outstanding service.
Technician Fourth Grade Jessie J. Loop, 36396400, Glider Field Artillery, while serving with the Army of the United States, distinguished himself by meritorious service in connection with military operations against an enemy in the United States during the period 6 June 1944 to 9 May 1945. He displayed his ability and courage in the Normandy Campaign in June 1944, the Airborne assault on Holland in September 1944 and during the defenses of the key city of Bastogne, Belgium from 19 December 1944 to 27 December 1944. Throughout the three campaigns Technician Fourth Grade Loop demonstrated his devotion to duty and outstanding service to his battalion. His actions were in accordance with the highest standards of the military service. Entered military service from Wisconsin.
